Robert Half Assistant Controller in Dallas, Texas
Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and excels at using advanced technology and tools to optimize financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with operational experience.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Maintain and oversee general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports for audits.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with DCAA regulations and standards.
• Utilize AI and BI tools to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve overall financial performance.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with company policies and industry best practices.
• Partner with leadership to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
• Support audit preparation and address inquiries from external auditors. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and other financial software tools.
• Strong technical skills, including experience with AI and BI tools.
• Demonstrated experience in operational finance within a small company environment.
• Knowledge of DCAA regulations and compliance standards.
• Solid understanding of month-end close and general ledger processes.
• Proven ability to prepare and review financial statements for audits.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
