Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing payment cycles, and resolving discrepancies efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to work in the manufacturing industry and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Process two-way and three-way invoices within established timelines, addressing discrepancies related to receiving, purchase orders, and pricing.
• Investigate and resolve vendor statement issues to clear balances and minimize aging accounts.
• Monitor invoices with discount terms to prevent missed opportunities, expediting approvals when necessary.
• Conduct root cause analysis for payment variances and determine if repayment is required.
• Utilize banking portals for cash disbursement activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice-related discrepancies and approvals.
• Perform coding and account coding tasks to maintain accurate records.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and ensure proper handling of accounts payable processes.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to streamline payment operations and maintain strong relationships.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable functions within a manufacturing or similar industry.
• Strong skills in coding invoices and account coding processes.
• Proficiency with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and managing check runs.
• Ability to analyze financial discrepancies and resolve payment-related issues.
• Familiarity with banking portals and cash disbursement processes.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in invoice processing and payment cycles.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
