Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Dallas, Texas
Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions, lead a team of professionals, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by improving processes, maintaining financial accuracy, and contributing to the organization's overall success.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain accounting records using Sage Intacct to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Calculate and review monthly bonuses, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
• Prepare and oversee client disbursements for multiple entities.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, aligning workloads and facilitating cross-training among staff.
• Partner with the Controller to prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop, enforce, and refine accounting policies and procedures in collaboration with firm management.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring data integrity.
• Supervise general accounting processes, including accounts payable, cash management, trust accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely completion of bank reconciliations and oversee reporting requirements such as 1099 forms.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits, preparing and submitting necessary schedules.
Must have law firm accounting experience
Must be able to lead a team of 4
Understands IOLTA and PI Contingency
Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and variance analysis.
• Experience using Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
• Ability to lead and manage teams effectively, with a focus on collaboration and attention to detail in growth.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and improve processes.
• Strong understanding of tax reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
