Company: ME Living Inc. Location: [Dallas GA / Paulding GA] (REMOTE) Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift with possible late-day follow-up as needed Pay: $18.00-$24.00/hour Reports To: Program / Operations Lead

Job Summary

ME Living Inc. is seeking an organized, responsive, and detail-oriented Intake / Eligibility / Referral Coordinator to support client access, front-end intake flow, insurance and eligibility review, referral coordination, and scheduling.

This role is one of the most important front-end positions in the program. The Intake / Eligibility / Referral Coordinator helps ensure that new referrals are handled quickly, clients are screened appropriately, insurance and eligibility information is gathered accurately, and clients are connected to the right services without delay.

The ideal candidate is strong with communication, documentation, follow-up, scheduling, and multitasking. This person must be able to manage incoming referrals by phone, email, text, web form, and partner communication while keeping accurate records and moving cases forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and manage incoming referrals from phone, text, email, web forms, walk-ins, hospitals, agencies, and community partners

  • Complete pre-intake screening and gather basic demographic, contact, and service-need information

  • Verify insurance, benefits, or basic eligibility information as assigned

  • Help determine appropriate next steps based on referral type, urgency, and service fit

  • Schedule intakes, assessments, or follow-up appointments

  • Communicate with clients, referral sources, and internal staff regarding status, missing information, and next steps

  • Track pending referrals, incomplete intakes, insurance issues, and follow-up tasks

  • Maintain accurate documentation in agency systems, spreadsheets, or EHR platforms

  • Escalate urgent, crisis, or high-risk situations to the appropriate supervisor immediately

  • Support smooth handoff to clinical, case management, housing, or program staff

  • Assist with intake workflow, client tracking, and front-end coordination to reduce delays and no-shows

  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with agency standards

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • At least 1 year of experience in intake, scheduling, referrals, front desk, healthcare support, insurance verification, case management support, behavioral health support, or a related field preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow up consistently, and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable speaking with clients who may be in crisis, under stress, or experiencing complex life situations

  • Basic computer skills including email, spreadsheets, documentation systems, and data entry

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with intake coordination, patient access, eligibility, insurance verification, or referral management

  • Experience working with behavioral health, housing, social services, Medicaid, Medicare, or community-based programs

  • Experience with appointment scheduling, client follow-up, and documentation tracking

  • Knowledge of Georgia community resources or behavioral health systems preferred

  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Hiring Process

Selected candidates will complete onboarding and training related to intake flow, documentation, confidentiality, eligibility support, referral coordination, scheduling, and escalation procedures before working independently.

  • Are you able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a client-facing role?
