Your role and responsibilities
As a Brand Technical Sales Specialist for IBM's Automation Platform, you will collaborate with IBM business partners to sell Automation Platform solutions into your territory of client accounts. Your focus will be on delivering solutions that meet client needs and driving business growth through effective partnership management. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Collaborate with Business Partners: Work closely with IBM business partners to identify sales opportunities and develop strategies to sell Automation Platform solutions to clients in your territory. • Deliver Solution Sales: Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored Automation Platform solutions that drive business value and growth. • Manage Territory Sales: Develop and execute sales plans to achieve territory sales targets, leveraging IBM's Automation Platform products and services. • Build Partner Relationships: Foster strong relationships with business partners, providing support and guidance to help them succeed in selling Automation Platform solutions. • Identify New Opportunities: Continuously identify new sales opportunities and work with business partners to pursue them, driving revenue growth and expanding IBM's presence in the territory.
Required technical and professional expertise
• Automation Platform Knowledge: Experience with IBM's Automation Platform products, including Cloud Pak for Applications, DevOps, and Enterprise Application Service for Java, is essential for this role. • Sales and Partnership Experience: Exposure to sales and partnership management, with a focus on delivering solutions that meet client needs and driving business growth through effective partnership management. • Territory Management Skills: Experience with managing territory sales, developing and executing sales plans to achieve territory sales targets, and leveraging IBM's Automation Platform products and services. • Client Engagement: Experience with engaging clients to understand their needs and delivering tailored Automation Platform solutions that drive business value and growth. • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with a range of IBM Automation Platform products, including but not limited to, WebSphere Application Server, API Connect, and MQ.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Additional IBM Product Knowledge: Exposure to other IBM Automation Platform products, such as Spectrum High Performance Computing, Aspera, and Cloud Native Gateway, can be beneficial in this role. • Industry Insights: Familiarity with industry trends and developments related to automation, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence can help in identifying new sales opportunities and delivering tailored solutions to clients. • Technical Sales Skills: Experience with technical sales, including solution design and proof-of-concept development, can be an asset in engaging with clients and delivering Automation Platform solutions.
