UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies Data Analyst/Scientist in Dahlgren, Virginia
Overview
Bowhead seeks a Data Analyst/Scientist to design, develop, and maintain collaborative SharePoint and Microsoft Teams solutions within the Flank Speed environment. This role supports program operations by creating interactive dashboards, performing in‑depth programmatic and technical data analysis, and developing documentation that supports execution metrics and reporting. The analyst will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom SharePoint and Teams Online solutions, including sites, lists, libraries, and web parts.
Integrate SharePoint solutions with Microsoft Teams to create a unified collaboration and communication environment.
Provide detailed analysis and synthesis of technical and programmatic information while managing project documentation.
Develop and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to communicate programmatic and technical status.
Conduct data analysis, communication, and reporting of project execution metrics including cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for online solution management.
Support and respond to data calls requiring analysis and reporting of project data.
Generate weekly and ad hoc program status reports.
Collaborate with multiple IPTs and stakeholders to facilitate effective information flow.

Qualifications
• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• Six (6) years professional technical experience which includes at least four (4) years specialized experience performing computer hardware engineering, software design, coding and compilation of code; computer or software requirements
management, computer systems or software integration; and utilizing systems engineering software tools.
• Specialized experience shall also include demonstrated ability to engineer
complex systems with integrated software and hardware solutions. An example includes experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs utilizing agile software design processes, such as, but not limited to, Python, R, HTML, C/C++, Unix, and Linux.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, including experience building and managing sites, pages, lists, and libraries.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain programmatic and technical dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
• Ability to manage large volumes of information and reporting across multiple teams.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
