Job description
Quality Continuous Improvement Lead is responsible supporting the improvement roadmap development, implementation and leadership of the quality improvement and transformation plans, including QUA governance rhythms supporting the VP Quality
Working cross-Functionally across Safran Seats GB Ltd and in liaison with sister Business Units in France and the US.
In addition, the incumbent will oversee a number of local improvement initiatives from concept to delivery across processes, systems and people.
This role will be leading and coaching the staff in the development, development and improvement of standards, driving our improvement journey.
Lead and champion strategic initiatives to drive organisational change, utilising industry-standard change management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Develop the strategic roadmap for implementation and execution of the Quality strategy within Safran Seats GB (SGB), liaising and working with all levels of SGB as well as benchmarking with Quality personnel in Safran Seats France and US.
• This role demands experience in both transformation and leadership, to ensure effective implementation and participation at all levels of the Business.
• Implement One Safran Quality Referential processes, Operational Excellence standards and Best Practices to drive effective implementation of the Quality transformation activities
• The role requires technical problem solving, competency in being able to quickly understand technical issues and help with their resolution via coaching and expertise in problem solving tools, and ability to coach and support others
• Define roadmap, planning, and progression of the Digital Strategy for Quality
• Support the VP Quality, establish and enforce robust governance framework across multiple fields
• Develop Quality metrics that underpin and enhance operational efficiency and quality performance
• Undertake benchmarking for the strategic projects/activities, making recommendations backed by robust analysis
• Manage and report the progress of strategic Quality activities to the VP Quality, Seats GB Excom and Seats Company Level
• Work closely with existing Supply Chain, CI, and Engineering Transformation Managers for cross functional project deployment

Candidate skills & requirements
Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering / Manufacturing related discipline.
Lean / 6 Sigma knowledge and general improvement tools
Experience in aerospace (or similar) quality processes and procedures including QRQC and APQP
Problem solving skills (8D, 5 why, RPO, QRAP)
Quality and production experience
Competent in MS packages
Leadership and / or management qualification
Effective communicator with an ability to establish good working relationships at all levels.
Strategic and analytical thinking
Change management & influencing skills
Ability to manage and prioritise workload
