Your Role

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role within the Engineering Project Management Office, supporting the delivery of engineering projects across their full lifecycle—from early engagement through to production and sustaining activities.

You will:

  • Support delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with time, cost, and quality objectives

  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes

  • Apply project management methods, governance, and tools to meet contractual and customer requirements

  • Manage stakeholders across engineering and non-engineering functions

  • Monitor progress, analyse data, and prioritise actions based on business needs

  • Support change management and evolving product requirements

  • Contribute to contract, funding, and commercial discussions

  • Assist in transitioning product development into manufacturing

  • Ensure compliance with aircraft certification requirements

  • Conduct peer reviews of technical data, reports, and analysis

You may also be required to travel within the UK and internationally (10%).

Candidate skills & requirements

What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Electronic, Materials, or similar)

  • Experience in product development, R&D, or production engineering

  • Experience with project management methods and tools

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to analyse data and prioritise effectively

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships

Desirable:

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline

  • Professional registration (IEng/working towards CEng)

  • Experience with engineering design tools (e.g. Catia, Nastran)

  • Knowledge of aerospace certification and compliance requirements
