SERVICE FIRST STAFFING Wood Working Supervisor in CUSTER, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assist in supervising sawmill and production staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity. Provide training, coaching, and support to team members. Monitor product quality and ensure all materials meet company standards. Promote and enforce safety policies, proper PPE usage, and safe operating practices. Organize daily workload, staffing assignments, and material movement. Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and personnel management. Communicate operational goals, challenges, and updates to management. Support kiln-drying, heat-treat operations, and other production processes. Troubleshoot workflow or equipment issues and help identify solutions. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Previous leadership or supervisory experience required; experience in manufacturing or wood-products industry preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable. Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor environments in all seasons. Ability to work around heavy machinery and understand safety protocols. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure. Basic measurement skills (tape measure, calipers) preferred.
