Temporary Full time from 12/15/2025 - 10/14/2026 The General Ranch Hand position will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the production of commercial and registered Black Angus Cattle. The majority of the day to day duties will include: Cleaning calving pens and alleys - Check cattle in preparation for calving, occasionally assisting in delivery of calves, apply or administer medications/vaccines, precondition calves, treat foot rot; occasionally mix feed/additives and feed/water livestock; place mineral blocks; occasionally drive equipment to haul/distribute feed/water when not at pasture; herd livestock; confine livestock in stalls; clean/disinfect livestock corrals/stalls/sheds;; Assist with branding and tagging. Hoist/stack bales of hay onto wagon/truck; occasionally ride and perform duties on ATV or 4-wheeler General farm work will include making minor mechanical adjustments/repairs on farm machinery; ; mix chemical solutions and spray/apply to crops; repair/replace fencing and farm structures; perform general cleanup of farm acreage; drive, load/unload trucks. Most duties are performed out of doors, and entail exposure to heat, cold, dust, rain and other environmental conditions common in fields. Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Increased wages and/or bonus may be offered depending on experience or at the end of the contract based on employer discretion. Driving required on ranch only.
