Summary

The Siri NL Platform team bridges ML research and user-facing experiences, integrating large language models into Siri across all Apple devices. We partner with modeling teams, hardware teams, and leadership to shape what Siri can become.

Description

We're looking for a software engineer to work on Siri's on-device runtime across iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS. You'll build performant client software under tight constraints, work across teams throughout Apple, and help guide technical decisions that reach millions of users.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in one or more compiled languages (Swift, C++ or Objective-C).

  • Python scripting skills for tooling and automation

  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

  • M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with on-device development and performance optimization for resource-constrained environments

  • Familiarity with large language models and on-device ML inference

  • Experience with AI-assisted development workflows, including coding agents or standards like the Model Context Protocol (MCP)

  • Track record of working cross-functionally and communicating with leadership

  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities
