Apple’s WW Channel Strategy & Operations (CSO) organization focuses on developing and deploying worldwide sales programs and best practices to deliver an extraordinary customer experience in the channel and drive Apple Channel sales. With deep functional expertise in digital, physical, and people enablement spaces, our WW CSO team closely collaborates with many cross-functional groups at worldwide and regional levels.

Apple is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to join the Channel New Product Introduction (NPI) team. The Channel NPI team is responsible for ensuring that Apple customers worldwide enjoy a magical experience and see a high-quality merchandizing presentation in thousands of channel points of sale on the day of launch. This role is the intersection between Apple’s business strategy, product strategy, and in-store execution. Attention to detail is critical as we provide a world-leading experience of Apple’s new products. You will ensure that the integrity of the NPI moment is preserved and improved by a strong focus on operational excellence.

Description

In this role, you will:

Define and scale sales data analysis processes to drive product merchandising strategies in partnership with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations.

Translate new product strategy, security requirements, and visual merchandising standards into actionable plans, collaborating with channel sales on product authorization.

Lead strategic alignments with senior leadership on regional merchandising approaches, factoring in sales performance, product mix, and route-to-market (RTM) preferences.

Develop comprehensive global briefing materials and lead day-of-launch briefing calls to align cross-functional NPI teams.

Generate accurate product demo unit forecasts for worldwide (WW) points of sale, tailoring plans to regional merchandising preferences.

Partner with Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery of physical merchandising elements (e.g., security fixtures, acrylics) for NPI launches.

Work with regional teams to support NPI activities and utilize their feedback on sales, operations and store execution for future NPI planning.

Identify risks to product launch and develop/implement risk mitigation plans to ensure Day 1 readiness in store.

Define the internal tool(s) roadmap; lead the NPI process optimization and automation efforts.

Represent the team in workshops with Product Management, Marketing, and Operations.

Lead NPI post-launch process improvement efforts by collaborating with WW and Regional partner teams to identify opportunities, develop and implement process changes to improve NPI readiness

Create and maintain playbooks/tracker for Key NPI processes to ensure standardization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 12+ years of experience.

  • Background in product merchandising, sales, supply chain, capacity planning, logistics or similar function.

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Route-to-Market (RTM) channels and the execution of premium in-store experiences for channel partners.

  • Proven ability to manage complex data sets and perform in-depth sales analysis to drive and refine merchandising strategy.

  • Experience in vendor management, budget management, and forecasting.

  • Proficient in Excel and foundational knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).

  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to quickly establish trust, credibility, and influence across a variety of cross-functional and multi-directional partners.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing content and delivering presentations to senior leadership on a recurring basis.

  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages for processing and analyzing large datasets (e.g., Python).

  • Experience identifying needs and drive development of internal business tools to automate processes using AI/ML workflows.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a 'hands-on,' continuous improvement mindset; adept at identifying operational inefficiencies, attention to detail, and driving process improvements.

  • Working knowledge of Tableau, Business Objects, or similar data tools.

  • MBA or advanced degree.
