Description
As a Product Designer in this highly visible team, you will keep learning and growing technical knowledges while working multi-functionally with Industrial Design team to reach the development goal for new product launch. You will work with multiple suppliers, which have multiple capabilities, and lead the fixing specifications. You will contribute to expanding the technical depth of the team by multi-functional communication, project leadership and solving issues driving capability. This position will require international travel and domestic travel around 20% of work time.
Minimum Qualifications
MS Chemical Engineering / Materials Science / Mechanical Engineering
7+ years of work experience in consumer electronic products field
Technical knowledge of various application and deposition, decoration technologies (screen printing, inkjet printing, PVD, etc)
Strong analytical/problem solving skills and experiences
Have strong passion to learn various category technologies
Have experiences working with Japanese suppliers to achieve the target / goals
Technical project management experience leading a project from R&D to production
Flexibility and comfort working in a quickly changing environment
Fluent speaking/writing English for internal / external communication
Ability to communicate in Japanese on various technical topics
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with coating process and tool hardware development
Experience of designing brittle material and its processing ( Glass, Ceramics or others)
Experience of processing / finishing metal ( Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless steel or others)
Experience working remotely with multiple vendors
Experience working on multiple products/project on different development timelines
Experience with high-quality cosmetic parts and finishes
