Aerotek Heavy Equipment Operator in Cumberland, Rhode Island

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Heavy Equipment Operators to join a rapidly growing environmental company. This role demands the ability to work aloft, climb ladders, and use staging/scaffolding and other aerial equipment. You will spend long hours on your feet and work in diverse conditions, including snow, rain, cold, and heat. Occasionally, you will perform tasks above your head and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy machinery such as Excavators, Bulldozers, Loaders, Skid-Steers, and Backhoes.

  • Perform general labor and environmental tasks as needed.

  • Utilize GPS machine control where applicable.

  • Read and interpret plans and construction drawings.

  • Travel within New England as required by project locations.

Essential Skills

  • 5-10 years of construction experience.

  • Valid RI hoisting license for RI projects.

  • Valid MA hoisting license with 1C/2A designation for MA projects.

  • OSHA 10 Hour certification.

  • Ability to operate various heavy equipment.

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.

  • Experience with GPS machine control is a plus.

  • Ability to travel within New England is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cumberland, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
