Support the end-to-end production, control, and continuous improvement of regulatory reporting processes. The role combines strong data/technical capability (database management, SAS, SQL and Advance Excel) with high-quality documentation and stakeholder communication to ensure accurate, timely, and well-governed submissions.

Key accountabilities.

  • Regulatory reporting delivery

  • Produce and/or support recurring regulatory reports in line with agreed timetables and control standards.

  • Perform data validation, reconciliations, and reasonableness checks; investigate variances and document outcomes.

  • Maintain evidence packs and audit trails to support internal/external audit review.

  • Data management & technical delivery

  • Extract, transform, and analyse data using SAS to support reporting and controls.

  • Manage datasets, reference data, and reporting tables; ensure data lineage and traceability are clear.

  • Advance use of Excel.

  • Controls, governance, and change

  • Execute and enhance operational controls (checklists, reconciliations, sign-offs, issue logs).

  • Support change delivery (new requirements, remediation, automation) including impact assessment, testing, and implementation.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.

  • Documentation & communication

  • Write and maintain clear process documentation , runbooks, control narratives, and technical specifications.

  • Translate technical findings into concise updates for stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Risk, Technology).

  • Contribute to knowledge management and training materials.

  • Collaboration & stakeholder management

  • Work closely with upstream data owners, Technology partners, and reporting stakeholders to resolve data and process issues.

  • Participate in governance forums/working groups and support meeting preparation, actions, and follow-ups.

  • Comunication with the legal and audit team.

  • Forum administration (preferred)

  • Administer team forums/communities.

  • Maintain FAQs, announcements, and knowledge articles; support engagement and adoption.

Role requirements.

Essential experience

  • Experience in regulatory reporting , finance/treasury reporting, risk reporting, or a closely related controlled reporting environment.

  • Proven ability to work to deadlines with strong attention to detail and a control mindset (evidence, audit trail, sign-offs).

  • Experience producing clear documentation (process maps/runbooks, technical notes, control procedures).

Essential technical skills

  • SQL (strong): writing complex queries (joins, CTEs, window functions), data reconciliation, performance-aware querying.

  • SAS (strong): data steps, PROC SQL, macros (preferred), building repeatable data preparation/validation routines.

  • Database management (working knowledge): relational concepts, data modelling basics, data quality checks, metadata/lineage, access and data handling practices.

  • Excel – Advance.

  • Intermediate English

Preferred

  • Experience with regulatory frameworks relevant to the role’s scope and/or internal control frameworks.

  • Exposure to automation and tooling like Python, Power BI/Qlick sense.

  • Forum/community administration experience (Teams/SharePoint), including content governance and user support.

Education / qualifications

  • Finance, Economics, Maths, Computer Science, Engineering.

  • Relevant certifications (optional): SAS/SQL, data management, or regulatory/finance qualifications.

  • On-time, accurate reporting with complete evidence and minimal rework.

  • Reduced manual steps through improved SQL/SAS routines and better data controls.

  • Up-to-date runbooks and documentation that enable resilience and smooth handovers.

  • Effective stakeholder engagement and timely issue resolution.
