This onsite Recruiter role in Cromwell, CT offers the opportunity to own the full recruitment lifecycle in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. You will manage a high-volume requisition load, drive employer branding and social media engagement, and build strong relationships across the organization and within the local community. This is a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire position on a Monday–Friday, first-shift schedule, ideal for a hands-on recruiter who is comfortable stepping in quickly, leveraging technology, and making an immediate impact.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 25–35 active requisitions across multiple job functions while balancing speed, quality, and an excellent candidate experience.

  • Own the full-cycle recruiting process, including intake meetings with hiring managers, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding support.

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide consultative recruiting guidance throughout the hiring process.

  • Act as an employer brand ambassador through social media, job postings, and other digital channels to promote the organization’s mission and opportunities.

  • Increase recruiting visibility by participating in local job fairs, community events, and building external partnerships within the local community.

  • Leverage innovative and AI-driven sourcing tools to expand candidate reach and improve quality of hire and candidate matching.

  • Utilize and optimize Indeed and other job boards to attract high-quality talent and enhance posting performance.

  • Use the UKG platform and other applicant tracking systems to manage candidate pipelines, requisitions, and hiring workflows.

  • Continuously identify and recommend improvements to recruiting processes, talent pipelines, and employer branding strategies.

  • Coordinate interview scheduling and communication to ensure a smooth and professional experience for candidates and hiring teams.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within applicant tracking systems and related HR technologies.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support workforce planning and alignment of recruiting priorities with organizational needs.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience managing a high-volume requisition load of approximately 25–35 open roles at a time.

  • Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding support.

  • Strong sourcing expertise, including proactive outreach and effective use of job boards and social media.

  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems, including UKG or similar platforms.

  • Ability to step into a role quickly, work independently, and contribute immediate value in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging candidates and collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize multiple requisitions and deadlines.

  • Effective stakeholder-management skills and the ability to provide consultative guidance to hiring managers.

  • Experience with recruitment coordination, including interview scheduling and candidate communication.

  • Background or familiarity with healthcare recruiting preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in talent acquisition or human resources with a focus on recruiting and hiring.

  • Experience in technical recruiting or specialized recruiting is a plus.

  • Comfort using AI-driven and emerging recruiting technologies to enhance sourcing and selection.

  • Passion for employer branding, community presence, and social media engagement to support recruiting goals.

  • Ability to optimize job postings and campaigns on Indeed and other job boards.

  • Interest in working within a mission-driven, non-profit environment with opportunities for growth.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with community partners and external organizations.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite in Cromwell, CT and follows a Monday–Friday, first-shift schedule. You will work in a fast-paced, mission-driven non-profit environment with significant visibility across the organization and the local community. The role involves frequent collaboration with hiring managers and HR team members, as well as regular use of recruiting technologies such as UKG, applicant tracking systems, AI-driven sourcing tools, and job boards like Indeed. You will also represent the organization at local job fairs and community events, contributing to a strong employer brand and community presence, while having room to grow within the organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cromwell, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53.97 - $57.88/hr.
