Paralegal/Legal Assistant

  • Location:  Cambria County, PA
  • Pay Rate:  $15.00 per hour
  • Schedule:  Monday to Friday -- 8am to 5pm | Could be full or part time

What will you be doing?

The Paralegal / Legal Assistant provides high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys, assisting with case management, client interactions, and day-to-day office operations. This role involves performing clerical, administrative, and paralegal tasks to ensure efficient workflow and effective support for the legal team.

  • Provide administrative and paralegal support to attorneys, including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other legal documents.

  • Schedule and attend meetings on behalf of attorneys, taking notes and recording minutes.

  • Receive, review, and summarize incoming communication or memos, determining importance and distributing contents to attorneys as needed.

  • Organize, maintain, and manage legal case files and documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with firm policies.

  • Coordinate trial logistics, including exhibits, equipment, and documentation preparation.

  • Greet and assist clients at the reception desk, manage client files, and provide support to attorneys regarding client matters.

  • Open, sort, and distribute mail; file, fax, and maintain correspondence and legal documents.

  • Receive client payments via cash or check and ensure accurate records are maintained.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the attorneys and overall office operations.

     

     

What are the Job Requirements?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism.
  • Clearances: Drug Screen, Criminal background check, Employment verification and Reference check
