Our team is seeking an Assembly/Test Technician to join our operations team in Creedmoor, NC. This position reports to the Team Lead and requires an onsite work schedule.
As an Assembly/Test Technician at Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing Inc., you will support the assembly and testing of electro-mechanical and mechanical products used across general aviation, commercial, and military aerospace platforms. This role is critical to ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of components that support both legacy aircraft and modern applications.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts). Overtime as needed.
To be considered for the Assembly/Test Technician opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
Minimum educational and work experience requirements for the successful candidate will include the following:
Associates degree in electronics field or equivalent military training required
Minimum 2 years of experience working in an electro-mechanical or electronic test environment
Must be able to read blueprints, troubleshoot from schematics, and assist in writing test procedures
Must be proficient in the use of test, inspection, and calibration equipment
Demonstrated hands on manufacturing / shop floor experience
MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
Proven ability to initiate and execute change into mature processes
Mechanically inclined and understands production fabrication and assembly
Solid knowledge of machining principles and methods including conventional, non-conventional applications
Deep firsthand knowledge of manufacturing operations, the ability to provide real-time shop support with solid troubleshooting skills leading to consistent production and quality
Attention to detail will be key as you verify that finished products conform to quality standards and progress smoothly through inspection and release.
As an Assembly/Test Technician, you will:
Responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting a range of electro-mechanical, mechanical, and electronic units
Perform tests by setting up and utilizing test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, frequency generators, and multi-meters
Complete and maintain all required documentation and records accurately and in a timely manner
Assist engineering personnel in the troubleshooting, modification, and/or repair of non-conforming units
Additional duties to include, but not limited to calibration, in-line inspection, and final inspection of units/assemblies
Ability to learn and maintain existing test Equipment and ERP systems
Perform maintenance on all test production equipment and fixtures, including soldering ability
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues that arise and create positive solutions
Modify and install software upgrades to existing equipment as test procedures change
Give support and resolve issues with test equipment supplied by the transition group
Reverse engineer and create software/equipment to replace manual test stations
Maintain and debug test equipment software
