Job Title: Wiring Harness and Cable Assembler Job Description
This position involves the precise assembly of wiring harnesses and cables following detailed Assembly Process Instructions (APIs).
Responsibilities
Produce cables and wire harnesses, including wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering.
Perform a full range of assembly tasks while strictly following Assembly Process Instructions (APIs).
Operate and maintain hand tools, crimp tools, pneumatic tools, and assembly-line equipment.
Fabricate and prepare wires and cables for assembly.
Strip and crimp wires using hand and pneumatic tools.
Tin wires using a solder pot.
Perform precise soldering of wire-to-wire and wire-to-terminal connections.
Insert terminated or crimped wires into connectors.
Route wires on harness boards according to specifications.
Handle, label, and organize all wires, connectors, and cables for assembled units.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all workplace safety standards.
Report quality, process, equipment, or material issues to the Team Leader.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to read instructions in English.
Capability to work under a microscope for up to 8 hours.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred, but not required.
IPC Certification preferred, but not required.

Work Environment
The position is located in a small manufacturing facility operating one shift, starting between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, concluding after 8 hours. The total number of employees is 80, with overtime available on Saturday mornings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranston, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
