About the role: As a structural analysis intern, you will report to the (Structural Design & Analysis Manager and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer. Key Responsibilities: Support the development and analysis of mechanical systems and components Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and calculation notes Support ongoing projects by authoring and verifying non-conformance reports Participate in technical presentations and written communications for customers and management Research new technologies and manufacturing processes Collaborate with the manufacturing team to improve processes and design assembly fixtures Contribute to design reviews and present technical designs and analysis results to team members Support the department with necessary technical, lab testing, or clerical work Qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering Minimum GPA of 3.0 Completed Sophomore year of college Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD Previous internship or project experience in mechanical engineering Experience with 3D CAD and analytical tools Familiarity with ASME Section III and Section XI, ANSYS, Inventor, and Matlab
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
