About the role: As a Sr. Director - US Utility APX Project Development you will guide WEC strategic programs within the US industry customer base to identify, close, and maintain engagement of APX technology. This includes AP1000, AP300, and LDES related solutions while working with a team across the Global Market and Project Delivery teams.
The Sr. Director will establish critical relationships with customers. These customers will range from staff level to Sr. Executive roles. Meanwhile, the Sr. Director will develop critical knowledge of a customer's important decision buying processes, influencers, drivers, and overall corporate/company priorities. This role is critical to provide an important interface between our customers and WEC delivery / commercial teams and is a focal point for driving commercial-related engagements and priorities.
You will report to the VP APX Project Development - North America, and work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Industry Engagement / Customer relationships - Develop long-term relationships with customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions that meet both technical and financial expectations. Work with global markets to understand customer organization, processes, and priorities. Maintain presence within the industry to be recognized as a trusted leader and expert on WEC APX technology. Market Analysis / Forecasting - Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities. Track industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may affect sales strategies. Engage with senior management to report on sales activities, proposal status, and business development efforts. Provide accurate sales forecasts, and report on sales progress to senior leadership and update D365 Capture Strategy - Collaborate with APX Project Delivery, Global Markets, Partner Development, and Commercial/Marketing to develop tailored capture plans, presentations, and strategies that address client needs and project specifications. Identify commercial risks and help identify project technical risks and developing an overall mitigation strategy with the Capture Team. Commercial Engagement / Negotiations involve leading the approval process with the Proposal Manager. This includes presenting the offer for approval and obtaining agreement from WEC partners. Work with legal, financial, contracts, and technical teams to ensure contracts are aligned with company policies and are in the best interest of both our organization and the client. Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering or B.S. in Business Management Experience 10+ years in Nuclear or Energy Industry Knowledge of Westinghouse products and services. Knowledge of nuclear utility industry and regulatory environment. Knowledge of global marketing principles and industry practices, strategic planning processes, negotiation approaches, commercial terms and conditions and contract administration. Knowledge of utility work process and its internal cultures. Including an understanding of business planning and processes. Interpret industry, customer and competitor data and establish strategic marketing approaches. Lead adoption of best practices. Explain, advocate and align organization to strategies and implement operational improvements and best practices.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $189,200 to $236,500 per year.In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligi le for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
