The Senior Sales & Use Tax Analyst supports a range of domestic and international sales and use tax activities, including compliance, reporting, research, and planning. This role is responsible for assisting in the calculation of sales and use tax liabilities, preparation of sales and use tax filings, and maintaining accurate tax records. The position also contributes to tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and to support strategic tax initiatives. The Senior Sales & Use Tax Analyst works under moderate supervision, receiving guidance on more complex assignments and new projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and assist with state, local and international sales and use tax filings and related compliance requirements Calculate sales and use tax liabilities and support the preparation of tax returns Conduct tax research and analysis to interpret laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization Support tax planning and optimization initiatives Assist with external reporting requirements and ensure timely and accurate filings Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, accounting) to gather necessary tax-related data Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory agencies on tax-related matters Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed Continuously monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate potential impacts Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or a related function Basic understanding of domestic and international sales and use tax principles Familiarity with tax compliance, reporting processes, and financial systems, including Vertex O Series Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial/tax software tools Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship (now or in the future).
