Westinghouse Electric Company Engineer I, Project Manager in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

As an Engineer and Project Manager, you will oversee a small matrix team. This team consists of Supply Chain Buyers, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Supplier Performance Engineering. You will ensure that the Supplier maintains quality, cost, schedule, and the technical requirements associated with the procurement of AP1000 equipment, products, and services. Positional scope covers the entire procurement process from coordinating with Engineering for the component design, Supplier request for quote, bid evaluation, purchase order placement through manufacturing and delivery of assigned equipment.
You will report to the Manager, AP1000 and be located at our Cranberry, PA location. We will require you to be in the office 2 days a week. Key Responsibilities:
You will support Supplier Identification and down selection. Also, you will support completion of Supplier Audits and Technical Evaluations
Creation of the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule. Coordinate Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points.
Create Agendas and support Kick-Off meetings with Suppliers. Schedule and support scheduled meetings (e.g., bi-weekly, weekly) with Supplier and Westinghouse Project Support Team Members.
Schedule and support pre-job briefs and kick-off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities.
Support Purchase Order (PO) Change Notices.
Qualifications:
We Require a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering. You will have 0 or more years of experience in the Power Generation or Nuclear Industries. However, experience in other industries is also acceptable, including Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production Platforms, Ship Building, Manufacturing Plants, Supply Chain.
Be familiar with Manufacturing Capability Assessment concepts/Supplier Technical Evaluations.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be ($58,400 to $65,700) per year.
