Responsibilities

Assembler and Repair Technician (PCBA II)

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Monday through Friday

Starting Pay: $26.50/hr plus $1.00/hr Shift Differential

Pay Grade: HR140

Ramsey Skills Test with passing score is required

Now hiring at our Cranberry Township, PA manufacturing plant for an Assembler and Repair Technician (Production Technician II).

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, rework, and test moderately complex circuit boards and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering. Installs wires, leads and a variety of thru-hole components.

  • Performs machine or soldering iron calibration using existing test setups or procedures. Uses a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments.

  • Sets up automated assembly machines, making necessary machine adjustments for start up and operation.

  • Assemble and test moderately complex circuit boards and/or sub-assemblies as time permits. May be required to pick parts from the warehouse.

  • Maintain relevant information in computer system and completes associated paperwork and transfer finished boards and sub-assemblies to appropriate work area.

  • Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they relate to production and the company's objectives is required.

  • In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in soldering.

  • Ability to:

  • Identify electronic components.

  • Read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.

  • Understand standard units of measure.

  • Set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.

  • Perform standard software operations including SAP.

  • Sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 pounds without assistance.

  • Use power and hand tools.

  • Regularly perform work that requires magnification may be required.

  • Regularly perform fine finger and hand activity / steady hand required.

  • Concentrate for prolonged periods of time.

  • Effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Prioritize and organize work.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent.

  • 3 years previous work experience troubleshooting circuit boards may be substituted for degree.

  • Minimum 18 months electronics manufacturing or other related experience.

  • Past soldering experience.

  • Skills test with passing score is required for this position
