Job Title: Chemical Operator Job Description
As a Chemical Operator, you will follow prescribed formulas to manufacture various chemical products. You will be responsible for operating process equipment, controlling units, and systems that process chemicals into finished products. This role involves working in one of three departments: Liquid, Reactor, or Gas.
Responsibilities
Operate process equipment following standard operating procedures.
Tend or control units that process chemicals into finished products.
In the Liquid department, perform distillation to achieve a final liquid state, take samples, and conduct pH, titrations, and viscosity tests.
In the Reactor department, safely handle hazardous materials and compound chemicals by adding one chemical to another.
In the Gas department, work with fluoride to create a slurry/dry blend, mix products, and package them into drums.
Essential Skills
Chemical operator experience.
Familiarity with chemicals and manufacturing processes.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Experience with mixing, blending, testing, and cooking chemicals.
High school diploma or GED.
1+ years of manufacturing experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ years of chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and operate off batch sheets.
Reliable and safety-oriented individual.

This position offers a 90-day contract-to-hire opportunity with the possibility of an end-of-year bonus and a salary increase of 4% or more.
Work Environment
The work environment consists of two buildings. Building A is the gas/dry side working with fluoride to produce solid/slurry products, while Building B handles liquid processes. All employees must wear safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and long sleeves/pants for safety compliance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
