Piedmont Medical Care Corporation has opening in Covington, Georgia (5126 Hospital Drive, Covington, GA 30014) for a Gastroenterologist. Provide routine cancer screening, Barrett's and GERD, viral and autoimmune hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease and biliary diseases. In addition to routine endoscopy and colonoscopy, the Gastroenterologist will also perform esophageal manometry, capsule endoscopy, liver biopsy, feeding tube placement, and testing for lactose deficiency. Diagnose and treat issues such as gastroesophageal reflux and liver disorders, and provide consultations, endoscopic procedures, and colonoscopies. Supervise less than ten Nurse Practitioners; Certified Medical Assistants; and Licensed Practical Nurses. Must have Doctor of Medicine Degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign degree equivalent; 36-months of residency in internal medicine or related; and 24-months fellowship in gastroenterology or related.
