Conagra Brands Machine Operator/ Carton - 2nd Shift in Council Bluffs, Iowa
Shift: 1:30 PM-11:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $21.75 an hour
Job Summary :
The Carton Machine Operator is responsible but not limited to the following operating, monitoring and maintaining effective and efficient operation of the cartooning equipment, facilitating the packing of finished product in a timely manner, completing all required paperwork in a timely manner, and observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met.

Job Duties :
Obtain daily schedule and supplies needed for production
Complete required paperworkin Englishin a timely manner(e.g., centerline, CI inspections, minor stop tracking, etc.)
Perform safety check on equipment being used to ensure it is functioning properly
Monitor andmaintaineffective and efficient operation ofpacking equipment
Ensure proper cases of carton blanks and glue chips are staged(numbers, versions on labels)
Fill carton magazine with stacks of carton blanks as necessary
Verify carton codes to ensure accuracy
Clear minor jams, reset and start equipment as needed
Fill glue dispensers and label printers asrequired
Ensure good housekeeping (e.g., sweeping, mopping, etc.)
Participate in PM, drumbeat, and AM activities as assigned(varying start times)
Must be able to read a work order andreceive verbal instructions from supervisors/leads
May perform general labor duties as assigned
May perform other duties as assigned
Completecenterline sheets
Downtime trackingin English
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Ability to understand theeffectsofproduct damageand loss
Ability to solve problems independently
Ability to workindividually as well aswith others as a team at all levels
Knowledge of GMP’s
Ability to be LOTO certified
Knowledge of normal/routine
Ability to work with pork, chicken,beefand shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens
Ability to be PIT certifiedas needed, by area
Ability tosubmitwork orders as needed, by area
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 months' production or related experience required.
