JOB DESCRIPTION

The General Production Associate supports daily manufacturing operations within our hydraulic, lube, and fuel filtration production facility. This role performs assembly, inspection, material handling, and basic machine operation tasks to ensure products are built to specification and production targets are achieved. Key duties include, but are not limited to:

Production & Assembly Execution

• Perform assembly, fabrication, and production tasks according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications

• Operate basic production equipment, tools, and machinery as trained

• Follow standard work procedures to ensure consistent and repeatable output

• Meet daily production targets for output, efficiency, and quality

• Assist with setup, changeovers, and basic adjustments as directed

Quality & Inspection

• Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet defined quality standards

• Use measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and visual inspection methods

• Identify defects, nonconforming parts, or inconsistencies and report issues promptly

• Support rework and corrective actions as directed

• Maintain accurate production and inspection records

Material Handling & Workflow Support

• Move materials, components, and finished goods within the production area

• Ensure proper labeling, identification, and traceability of parts and materials

• Maintain organized workstations and proper staging of materials

• Support efficient workflow between production operations

Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment (6S standards)

• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near-misses immediately

• Participate in safety training and improvement initiatives

Continuous Improvement & Team Support

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality

• Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment

• Participate in training, cross-training, and skill development

• Adapt to changing production priorities and follow supervisor direction

REQUIRED SKILLS

Manufacturing, Technical, & Operational Skills

• Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and basic specifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly or fabrication (preferred)

• Ability to use or learn measurement tools (calipers, gauges, rulers)

• Ability to identify defects or inconsistencies in parts or products

• Familiarity with hydraulic or industrial components is a plus
