Cook - Assisted Living Facility Coshocton Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to join our team at an assisted living facility dedicated to providing compassionate care and nutritious meals for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and food safety, with a passion for creating wholesome and appealing meals. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive high-quality, well-balanced diets while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Cook - Assisted Living Facility Coshocton Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences.
  • Assist with menu planning to ensure variety, nutritional value, and compliance with dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met at all times.
  • Support the dietary department in meal service, including plating and serving food to residents with care and professionalism.
  • Manage food inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with ordering supplies to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Follow all health department regulations and facility policies related to food safety and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and respect for residents' needs.

Cook - Assisted Living Facility Coshocton Qualifications

  • Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or assisted living settings is preferred.
  • Demonstrated culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques are essential.
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience within the food industry will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a respectful attitude toward residents and team members.

Cook - Assisted Living Facility Coshocton Pay & Schedule

  • Starting rate: $16.00/hour
  • Morning / Early Afternoon shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
  • Afternoon / Early Evening shift: 10:30 am - 7:00 pm
  • NO LATE NIGHTS!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 -- 40 per week
