SPONSORSHIP: This opportunity is intended for conversion to a full-time role that will not offer work authorization sponsorship in the future (full-time conversion pending performance evaluation post internship and available headcount). The Team:
Print Supplies Business Unit/Life Science Solutions Team - we innovate life science solutions for researchers using our thermal inkjet technology.
Responsibilities:
This internship offers hands-on experience in hardware testing, electrical signal algorithm development, and applying AI to improve team efficiency. Under the guidance of our lead Electrical Integration Engineer, the intern will handle integration assessment, troubleshooting, and developing impedance-based algorithms for biological cell workflows, as well as AI solutions for workflow optimization.
Education and Experience Required (Objective Minimum Qualifications)
Currently enrolled in a four-year college and returning to school following the internship.
Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2026, and not require sponsorship in the future.
Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering
Core Electrical Engineering Skills
System Integration & Software
Programming experience in at least one of the following:
Python
C# / C++ MATLAB
Ability to develop or modify test scripts, data analysis tools, or automation utilities
Comfortable troubleshooting issues across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries
Preferred Majors:
- EE/CS
Preferred Knowledge and Skills (Preferred Qualifications):
General Related Experience
Exposure to impedance spectroscopy, sensing systems, or instrumentation
Experience applying machine learning or AI to engineering workflows, data analysis, or automation
Prior internship, research lab, or project experience involving electromechanical systems
Experience in any of the following areas:
Embedded & Microcontroller Systems
Digital Design & HDL
DSP & Signal Algorithms

The pay range for this position is $23 to $37 per hour (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
