HP Inc. Electrical Engineering Intern in Corvallis, Oregon
This opportunity is intended for conversion to a full-time role that will not offer work authorization sponsorship in the future (full-time conversion pending performance evaluation post internship and available headcount). About the opportunity:
Perform electrical tests on Ink Jet print assemblies and then collect/ analyze associated outputs and diagnostic data used to identify key issues
Contribute to or lead root cause investigations tied to developmental roadblocks or yield related issues within Ink Jet print and non-print technology
Partner with product, process and FAB engineers to develop, support and maintain electrical tests used to quantify and qualify the electrical health of Ink Jet pen assemblies
Work with international partners in Southeast Asia to support high volume Ink Jet print assembly manufacturing lines
Responsibilities:
Support the electrical tests systems for R&D proto and Operations production factories
Test electrical components and Ink Jet supplies manufactured on proto and production lines (with any off-line tooling)
Analyze and summarize key data into status reports
Assist the electrical failure analysis team through sample preparation, test setup and execution and data analysis
Learn and apply methods used to test Ink Jet supplies within the product engineering development cycle
Education
Currently enrolled in electrical engineering bachelor's or master's degree with focus in microelectronics, IC's and/or wafer fabrication
Preference to candidates graduating in the 2026 calendar year
Experience and skills desired:
Self-motivated individual who is eager to learn
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to receive instruction and work collaboratively
Knowledge of lean problem solving and/or other issue resolution methods
Knowledge of JMP statistical package (or equivalent), database structures, Excel and/or Smarthsheets
At least one course in chemistry
Some knowledge of materials science is desirable

The pay range for this position is $29 to $31 per hour (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
