What we're looking for in a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit
To thrive as a Full-Time Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Southwest Health System, Inc., a blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills is essential. A graduate of an accredited nursing program, you'll hold a current Registered Nurse licensure in Colorado, with the compact license accepted initially.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Nursing Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate degree required bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure within state of Colorado. Compact license accepted and Colorado License must be obtained within first 90 days of hire.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current PALS certification within 6 months of hire 12 months if a new graduate.
- Current ACLS certification within 6 months of hire 12 months if a new graduate.
- Successful complet on of EKG course within 4 months of hire.
Language Skills:
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills
