As a Full Time Radiology Technologist at Southwest Health System, Inc., you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and precise diagnostic information to the communities of southwestern Colorado. Your responsibilities will include conscientious and compassionate diagnostic radiographic imaging, ensuring quality outcomes for each patient. In addition, you will supervise and assist radiographic technology students, fostering the next generation of professionals. As a lead technologist in your registered modality, you will oversee compliance with all federal and state regulations, prioritizing employee and patient safety. You will also manage departmental supplies, ensuring that everything is stocked and ready for use.

What you need to be successful

To excel as a Full Time Radiology Technologist with Southwest Health System, Inc., you will need a solid foundation in both technical skills and interpersonal communication.

Regulatory/Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology
  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology Technologist (RT)
  • Preferred to be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computer Tomography Technologist (CT)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

Language Skills:

  • Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate with and provide accurate explanations and instructions about the procedure to the patient significant others and other health care providers.
  • Must be able to read analyze and interpret documents necessary to provide adequate quality patient care.

Skills:

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills.
