CITY OF CORTEZ Lead Lifeguard in Cortez, Colorado
Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Ensures safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/First Aid, American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
Must pass pre-employment testing for lifeguarding skills and knowledge.
Must possess general working knowledge of aquatics area and operations.
Must possess the ability to make sound judgments and exercise conflict resolution.
Must possess knowledge of all rules and regulations pertaining to water safety and be able to communicate with staff and guests alike in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
Must be able to teach swim lessons.
Proven skills in lifeguarding, first aid and CPR
Prefer one year of customer service and aquatics/lifeguard experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Starting pay $17.71 - $18.79
