Purpose of Position:
This is a part time position with a flexible schedule. It is responsible for accurate and timely work assigned by the assistant controller to assist with closing of financials every month and reconciliation of all assigned general ledger accounts and complete all other assigned duties timely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist with monthly financial close including creating adjusting GL entries and account reconciliations and reviews
· Work with store staff to research problems and find solutions to accounting problems and questions
· Generate and format internal financial statements and schedules
· Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
· Support the accounting team with special projects or ad hoc tasks
Requirements
Qualifications:
· He/she must possess excellent verbal and communication skills, analytical skills, and math skills. This person must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. An accountant must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be detail oriented.
Education/Experience:
· In process of obtaining a degree in accounting, finance, or business management
