SUMMARY

The Coordinator, Merchandising is responsible for creating and managing all foundational data for our Retail Merchandising Operation at our Corporate Headquarters. The Coordinator should be detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong communication skills. This role serves as a key liaison between merchandising, supply chain, planning, and store operations to ensure product information, pricing, and promotions are correctly executed across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update product information, pricing, and vendor data within Oracle Retail systems.

  • Assist with item setup, item maintenance, hierarchy management, order creation, and order management in merchandising platforms such as Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).

  • Key role in executing and ensuring product ordered is input into the system and communicated to our vendor partners in the given time frame.

  • Track and communicate timelines for product setup (Items and Orders), price changes, and promotional updates.

  • Support seasonal buying cycles and ensure accurate product attributes and categorization. Update attribution on an ongoing basis.

  • Monitor and resolve data discrepancies related to items, orders, suppliers, pricing, and inventory.

  • Use existing system tools (Oracle Retail, MicroStrategy, Excel, SQL) to validate data and troubleshoot discrepancies.

  • Review incoming and outgoing data in Oracle Merchandise system to ensure accuracy.

  • Participates and leads training to update buyers and assistants, maintains training documents and assists with on-boarding new hires. Assists with testing and implementing of new procedures.

  • Prepare and update documentation around foundational data processes to ensure standards and procedures are followed.

  • Prepare and review merchandising reports to support accuracy and promote data stewardship.

  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain, analytics, and IT teams to ensure smooth merchandising operations.

  • Works with EDI, logistics and warehouse management on shipping errors (mis-ships, PO updates, location change, date changes and etc.).

  • Work with Analytics team to build out reporting within Oracle for efficiencies and better user adoption within the tools.

  • Assist in testing and validating system updates or merchandising processes within Oracle Retail tools.

  • Ensure compliance with company merchandising standards and data governance policies.

  • Protects the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No Supervisory Responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Business or related field preferred.

  • 1 - 3 years of related experience.

  • Managing through systems, process management, time management skills needed.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Retail systems preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

PREFFERED SKILLS

  • Experience with item lifecycle management and product hierarchy structures.

  • Familiarity with retail pricing, promotions, and assortment planning.

  • Knowledge of retail data workflows and system integrations.
