Magellan Aerospace New York Inc Assembly Inspector in Corona, New York
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team. The purpose of this position is to assemble aerospace components accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards. The successful incumbent must have precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow manufacturing procedures while working in a fast-paced environment. They will have experience assembling aerospace components, working with blueprints, and using measuring instruments to ensure quality standards.
The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hour.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assemble aerospace components using tools, jigs, presses, and shop equipment as required. Inspect completed work for conformance to routers, blueprints, and specifications. Perform functional tests on assemblies as applicable. Utilize basic mechanical inspection equipment to verify quality. Input data into the MRP software (training provided for new hires). Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Position Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in assembly or related inspection work. Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints and specifications. Proficiency in using standard measuring equipment and test instruments. Strong understanding of basic shop math for measurements and calculations.
