Job Title: Staff Accountant – Hospitality/Retail Experience Highly Desired
Location: Corona, CA
About the Role:
Our client, an established company in the Corona area, is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career finance professional to build on their education and work experience in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounts payable (invoice processing, payments, reconciliations)
Assist in daily accounting operations including journal entries, general ledger, and account reconciliations
Apply a strong understanding of debits and credits in all financial activities
Prepare and analyze financial reports as needed
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes
Perform ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
Minimum of 6 months of accounting experience (internship or work experience accepted)
Experience in the hospitality or retail industry strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounts payable processes
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Requirements
