Boiler Operator
Location: Cordova, IL
Pay Rate: $40.00/hour
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Boiler Operator to support operations at an industrial facility in Cordova, IL. This role is responsible for the safe, reliable operation, monitoring, and maintenance of high-pressure boiler systems and associated plant equipment. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, a safety-first mindset, and experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain high-pressure boiler systems in compliance with safety regulations and operating procedures
Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on boilers and auxiliary equipment
Monitor gauges, meters, and control systems to ensure optimal performance
Identify and troubleshoot system issues; respond to alarms and emergency conditions
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation related to boiler operations
Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to support facility uptime
Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Required Qualifications
Proven experience operating high-pressure boilers (required)
Strong understanding of steam systems, water treatment, and safety controls
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility
Familiarity with CMMS systems
Additional technical or mechanical certifications
