TRIDENT SEAFOODS CORPORATION FSQA LEAD in Cordova, Alaska
Summary:
Leads and conducts activities of FSQA Technicians responsible for the quality assurance of production processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties:
Note: FSQA Leadresiding in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the FSQA staff on the production line.
- Assists FSQA technicians with operational reports and complete required paperwork (daily process documentation, questions about checks, etc.).
- Monitors performance of FSQA technicians and provides assessment to FSQA supervisor.
- Completes documentation and report out comments/warnings given to employees while supervisor absent.
- Monitors employees (as time permits with running a line) to make sure that checks are being done in a timely manner and all hand/foot dips are being done.
- Conducts standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, weight, dimension, texture.
- Reviews purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards and company policies and procedures.
- Records test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities and quantities inspected or graded.
- Applies proper acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
- Audits production facility and reviews employee behavior for proper sanitation.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to Production/FSQA Management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to production.
- Maintains a working knowledge of company, government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of Tridents Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of company, government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
