SummaryCT Technologist - PRN BHCOR-CT Scan I Somerset, KY Baptist Health Imaging services include Inpatients, emergency patients, as well as Outpatients. The procedures and imaging provided are as follows but are not limited to: Diagnostic Procedures: Hysterosalpingogram, Nephrostogram, Arthrograms, Sinograms, Pyelograms, Cystograms, Barium Studies, Portable X-Ray and Fluoroscopy, and all Routine Radiographic Exams. Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.Job Description:Description:- Performhigh-qualityCTimaging proceduresforaccurateinterpretation by the Radiologist.- Verify patient identification, orders, and medical history to ensure proper exam preparation.- Administer contrast materials safely and document procedures, reactions, and medications accurately.- Monitor patients throughout exams, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence toradiation protection standards (ALARA).- Perform daily equipmentwarm-up, quality control (QC)checks, and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.- Accuratelyarchive and verify imagesin PACS; notify administrators of any imaging or transmission issues.- Collaborate with Radiologists and the CT Coordinator tomaintainimaging protocols and supportACR accreditationrequirements.- Assistin developing and adjusting exam protocols for adult and pediatric patientsin accordance withregulatory and safety guidelines.- Maintainappropriate inventoryof supplies and linens, ensuring readiness of the CT suite.- Provide guidance and training tonew staffand imaging students during clinical rotations.- Adhere to all hospitalpolicies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.- Participate in requiredtraining programs, emergency preparedness, and quality*improvement initiatives.Requirements:- Associate degree- Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry in Radiography RT(R)- Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.- One or two years in Special Imaging Preferred- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association within90 days- Must obtain Advanced ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 year- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT),American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), orRegistered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)-(RDMS certification in Abdomen or Vascular within1 year)- ACLS- PALSBenefits:- Preventive Plan- Retirement Plans- FlimpDecisions -FlimpDecisions will help you pick the best value planoptiongiven your expected medical needs.
