Job Title: Welder Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The role involves performing structural plate fitting and fabrication on parts, operating hand saws and torches, MIG welding, tack welding, and general cleanup of the shop area and facility. You will also fit steel parts by reading and interpreting blueprints and may need to convert blueprints from the metric system to English. This position is for a shift from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Perform structural plate fitting and fabrication on parts.
Operate hand saws and torches for cutting and shaping materials.
Conduct MIG welding and tack welding.
Perform general cleanup of the shop area and facility.
Fit steel parts by reading and interpreting blueprints.
Operate overhead cranes for material handling.
Thread and fit pipes using blueprints.
Convert blueprints from the metric system to English where necessary.
Essential Skills
2-3 years of Weld Inspection experience.
Ability to read blueprints and tack welds.
Maintain a clean attendance record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in MIG welding preferred.
Capability to perform a weld test during the interview process.
Familiarity with interpreting weld symbols in blueprints.
Having a MIG certification is beneficial but not essential.

Work Environment
The work shift is from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available on Saturdays. The dress code requires steel-toe boots, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. The facility is not climate controlled, making it very cold in winter and hot in summer. This is an industrial environment suited for individuals accustomed to job shop settings.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
