Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $20.00 to $22.80+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
- Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Job Summary:
The Intermediate Cook supports daily kitchen operations by preparing high quality food, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and contributing to a positive team environment. This role is ideal for candidates with solid culinary skills who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and take pride in consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail. Intermediate Cooks assist with food preparation, station setup, service execution, and general kitchen cleanliness to ensure an excellent experience for guests and smooth back-of-house operations.
Basic Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 6 hours.
- Frequent use of taste and smell.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for extended periods.
- Peripheral, color, and depth vision required.
- Must own non-slip footwear.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
- Strong skills in applicable cooking techniques and industry best practices.
- Ability to work multiple stations, complete prep lists efficiently, and meet service timelines.
- Strong knife skills and the ability to fabricate items to standard.
- Ability to expedite during service when needed.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
