Job Description
Fluor Corporation has established a cutting-edge Technology Hub in Copenhagen to serve the Nordic region. Located in the newly opened Portland Towers office, we are building a team of top-tier professionals. As a Lead Electrical Design Engineer , you will lead and coordinate electrical design activities across all project phases, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with Fluor standards and EU electrical codes. You will serve as Area Lead or Discipline Lead on assigned projects, applying advanced engineering techniques to complex assignments and guiding multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop electrical work plans for integration into project execution strategies
Define and maintain scope of work documentation throughout design evolution
Conduct quality audits in line with project procedures and QA plan
Prepare and review specifications and design criteria
Perform and verify calculations, specify equipment/materials, and resolve engineering challenges
Review vendor documentation for compliance across disciplines
Prepare material take-offs and support proposal development, including effort-hour estimates and staffing forecasts
Lead electrical discipline on mid-to-large scale projects, including schedule development, progress tracking, and project close-out
Basic Job Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Min.10 years of relevant work experience
Proven experience with EU electrical design and installation codes, especially Danish/Nordic standards
Expertise in Conceptual, Basic, and Detailed Design phases
Project experience in Denmark; additional Nordic experience is a plus
Advanced knowledge of discipline codes, standards, and material cost/availability
Ability to act as liaison between client and design team
Proficiency in medium and low voltage power distribution systems
Familiarity with electrical deliverables: single-line diagrams, layouts, distribution plans, lighting, grounding, cable schedules, and hazardous area classification
Specification and data sheet development for switchgear, transformers, and MCCs
Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) /HV/MV distribution experience
Leadership experience in electrical design on mid-to-large scale projects
Experience in Advanced Technology & Life Sciences (Pharma, Biotechnology, Data Centers, Batteries, Semi-Conductors)
English Language is Mandatory and Danish is preferred.
Preferred professional Engineering license (Denmark)
Work permit in Europe

Experience in project setup, control-level scheduling, progress reporting, and close-out
Installation experience including mechanical completion, testing, commissioning, and start-up
Proficiency in ETAP and/or SKM Power System Analysis Software
Familiarity with Revit, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant 3D
