Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Coon Rapids, Minnesota

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead the accounting operations in our Coon Rapids, Minnesota office. This position involves overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing a team of accounting and payroll professionals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, audit coordination, and cash flow management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily functions of the accounting department to ensure smooth operations.

• Collaborate with the corporate VP of Finance to deliver accurate financial insights and updates.

• Monitor financial data and prepare detailed reports to support strategic decision-making.

• Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and principles.

• Lead the coordination and successful completion of annual financial audits.

• Supervise and mentor accounting and payroll staff, assigning tasks and ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Manage banking activities, including wire transfers and bank reconciliations.

• Provide daily cash flow updates and weekly check register reports to the VP of Finance.

• Evaluate creditworthiness of potential business partners to support informed decision-making. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager or Supervisor role.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.

• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage X3 is highly preferred.

• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Experience with financial statement audits, account reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Knowledge of payroll systems like Paylocity and experience with AP/AR processes.
