Saint-Gobain Production Material Coordinator in Conyers, Georgia
We are seeking a reliable Production Material Coordinator to oversee and maintain warehouse stock, along with staging products based on the needs of the production floor. Assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory, while effectively moving inventory and production supplies safely throughout the warehouse. Also ensuring safe and timely delivery of material by utilizing the highest OSHA safety standards.
Duties include:
Follow standardized work processes and adhere to safe work practices.Inspect machines/tools prior to use and understand safety check list requirements.
Accurately operate and read tape measure, wrapping and banding equipment.
Demonstrate QC part specification knowledge and capable of checking SAP part number on packaged material vs pick tickets.
Safely operate powered industrial equipment.
Maintaining a clean and organized workplace on a daily basis (5S standards).
Understand companywide and department metrics and plan work according to meet those goals.
Work closely with Fabrication Supervisor to monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations on a regular basis
Performs material consumption inputs into SAP for department production orders and closes all department production orders after completing a final review for accuracy.
Perform cycle counting when necessary
Loading and unloading materials and movement of goods to vendor in shared location
Picking / packing of outbound shipments
Helping around the shop when short staffed or downtime permits.
Cleaning of warehouse and trailer yard.
Move and disposes of scrap material properly while following warehouse safety regulations
Work as a team to aid others in upholding and maintaining department productivity, safety standards and on-time delivery
Provide suggestions and Ideas to continuously improve safety, quality and processes
Maintain assigned lines in a clean an orderly condition, following all safety policies and procedures including CertainTeed practices to meet company standards
Keep the flow of the process moving in a steady pace
Perform other duties as requested by supervision
H.S. Diploma or GED
Three years work experience in a warehouse or product environment
Forklift Certification
Ability to understand necessary communication when non-conformities exist.
Good attendance record and able to work overtime when necessary.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to understand necessary communication for hazards/risk prevention.
Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, glasses, ear plugs, and safety toe shoes)
