Primary Function:

  • This role manages the supply network of the assigned business area by replenishing each distribution center in the European region to meet supply and delivery plans while maintaining optimal stock levels that consider distribution costs. The main objective of the Distribution Requirement Planner is to ensure that the correct inventory of finished goods is available at each distribution center (DC) at all times.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the key connection point for stock management between manufacturing sites, supply planning, demand planning, and distribution centers.

  • Establish supply plans and net dispatch requirements to ensure customer service levels and meet customer needs while considering network complexity and supply constraints.

  • Plan and optimize mixed loads, taking transportation constraints into account.

  • Analyze and evaluate supply plans and safety stock to satisfy customer needs given network complexity.

  • Balance product availability requirements with the need to minimize inventory costs, ensuring optimal stock of the right materials at the right locations.

  • Identify key issues related to volume variances that may impact supply and highlight them to affiliate planners, challenging existing logistics and supply planning processes and tools.

  • Establish safety stock policies for finished goods.

  • Analyze and effectively communicate relevant information with manufacturing plants and affiliate supply teams, highlighting all supply issues.

  • Communicate closely with master schedulers, logistics, sales/CS, and demand teams to ensure effective replenishment plans.

  • Collaborate with the Materials Management team to optimize supply chain and logistics solutions to maximize on-time delivery.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, or business required.

  • several years of experience in a supply chain organization.

  • Experience of planning system experience (e.g., APO, OMP, SAP).

  • SAP application experience preferred.

  • Strong adaptability to system tools.

  • APICS CPIM certification required.

  • Fluency in English is required, and French is preferred.
