Jacobs Piping Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

We’re seeking an intern with an interest in Process / Building Mechanical Piping Design and Plumbing / Materials Engineering to join our Life Sciences team Conshohocken PA. You’ll have the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and apply it to solving today’s challenges.

As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of engineering services.

You’ll be responsible for providing system design calculations and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering) under the guidance of Professional Engineers and Design Leads. You’ll use your skills and experience to help deliver and complete challenging and engaging projects.

You’ll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering

  • Desire to design building mechanical systems, including Process & Mechanical Piping, for buildings and facilities

Ideally You'll Also Have:

  • 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Working knowledge in Revit, 3D CADD

  • Previous internship experience with a design firm or similar setting

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management

  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills
