Emerson Hospital *** Clinical Office Coordinator in Concord, Massachusetts
Reports to the Office Manager, the Clinical Office Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative/reception functions in support of the physicians and nurse practitioners with the goal of having a smooth-running office. Skills: Strong computer skills Experience with Epic application preferred Ability to maintain confidential information Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Strong interpersonal communication skills on the phone and in person Customer service skills Great attention to detail Medical terminology required Must have the ability to read and write in English Place phone calls to the patients regarding answers to concerns or questions Retrieve patient information from specialist\'s office or insurance companies Obtain from affiliated labs patient results on cultures, biopsies, etc. Process prior authorizations for imaging, tests and/or medications Fax reports per request Maintain Front Desk incoming requests from patients in Epic EMR Check patient portal messages, route to provider accordingly Communicates appropriately and tactfully with staff, consultants, patients, significant others, and community Reduce conflict and increase patient satisfaction whenever possible through timely response to calls Prioritizes work tasks and services and completes tasks in a timely manner Complete Administrative Proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web-based applications, email, Epic EMR system) Employee may be asked to support our other PCP locations in Sudbury, Maynard, Bedford and Groton Complete all assigned required training by the deadline including, but not limited the Code of Conduct, Privacy & Data Security, and any Emerson Hospital required trainings Other duties may be assigned Employer will sponsor the appropriate candidate for an On the Job Training program.
