Operational Accounting Assistant
Location: Concord, CA (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
(Training hours for first 2 weeks: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM)
Assignment Length: 4 months (with potential extension)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operational Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting and transaction research activities in a fast-paced office environment. This role is ideal for early-career accounting or data-focused candidates who thrive in multitasking environments and are comfortable navigating multiple screens and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Research and validate financial transactions across multiple internal systems
Accurately input and update basic accounting and financial information
Utilize several applications and dual/multi-screen setups to review and reconcile data
Perform posting of accounts and offsets
Support operational accounting functions as needed
Must-Have Skills & Experience
1–2 years of experience in accounting support, data entry, or financial operations
Excellent typing skills and strong 10-key proficiency
Ability to work and toggle efficiently across multiple screens and applications
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Strong attention to detail and research skills
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Previous banking experience is strongly preferred
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience as an Accounting Assistant, Data Analyst, Junior Data Analyst, or Financial Data Analyst
Familiarity with transactional research workflows
Work Environment
100% onsite role in a professional office environment
Standard business hours Monday–Friday

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
